BlackBerry to launch a new phone at IFA, could be the KEY2 LE

first_imgBlackBerry has announced its IFA event date for August 30. The IFA event is scheduled to take place in Berlin, where BlackBerry is expected to launch a new phone. Although the company is yet to announce the name of the upcoming handset, it is most likely that BlackBerry KEY2 LE is coming. Rumours about the KEY2 LE have already started surfacing the internet and it is said to be a souped down version of the recently announced KEY2. The upcoming KEY2 LE is said to be an affordable smartphone.According to reports, BlackBerry has sent out a press invite for its August 30 IFA event. The invite, as already mentioned, doesn’t include the name of the device that is incoming. It only mentions, “Save the date”, meaning something big will be happening on the slated date. Now that rumours and leaked about the BlackBerry KEY2 LE have already started flooding the internet, we can expect the phone to go official at the IFA event.A new leak suggests that the KEY2 LE isn’t a “mini” version of the KEY2, but a lighter version of it. Last week, first renders of the BlackBerry KEY2 LE leaked revealing the complete design and specs of the phone. The leaked renders revealed that the KEY2 LE will sport the similar design pattern as the KeyOne, especially the design of the QWERTY keypad. Besides the KeyOne, BlackBerry is also expected to borrow some features from the KEY2 too. The KEY2 LE is said to come with a shortcut button as found in the KEY2 as well.advertisementAs far as the specs are concerned, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE is expected to sport a 4.5-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×1620 pixels resolution. On the hardware front, the KEY2 LE is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset that powers a lot of mid-range phones.
